Welcome to Speciality Cakes!
Speciality Cakes is run by us, Carol and Shirley. We have both been fascinated by baking and cake decorating for many years now so we decided to set up our own business after demand for our cakes 
just grew and grew! As Speciality Cakes is based at St Hilda’s Business Centre, Whitby, there is easy free car parking for visitors to our showroom. We welcome customers’ visits to our showroom in order to discuss cake ideas as a personal chat is the best way of doing this. Visits also enable our customers to look at pictures of previous cakes which we have made and for them to bring pictures and drawings of their own ideas to us as well. This guarantees each customer a highly personal service and Carol will work with you to develop a design that is uniquely yours. All designs can be catered for from traditional to contemporary, from naughty to nice, from simple to extreme, and to something completely different! Every cake we make is an individual work of art which will be designed, baked and decorated by us especially for you!
At Speciality Cakes we can supply cakes for all special occasions
including engagements, weddings, anniversaries, christenings, birthdays and Christmas and for other events where a special cake is needed! We pride ourselves in the quality of our cakes which are baked using only the finest ingredients. We can supply cakes made from moist sherry fruitcake, your favourite sponge cake flavour, chocolate cake or carrot cake. Our cakes are available in any shape or size you wish – from fairy-tale castles, to hexagonal tiered wedding cakes, to individual cupcake mountains, to wonky tiered cakes to suitcase cakes! We will do our best to make the cake you want. You can also choose to have different flavoured tiers. We understand that you want a cake that cuts well but which is also tasty and moist - your ‘Speciality Cake’ will taste as good as it looks!
We love cake decorating! We pride ourselves on our attention to detail and no design is to difficult for us – whether it’s a traditional wedding cake or an outrageous birthday cake – we can make and decorate it 
for you! We love a challenge and together with you we can make your cake design become reality. The majority of our cake decorations are handmade and painted by us. We remember that it’s your special occasion and it’s your cake and we will do whatever we can to make the cake uniquely yours. You can collect your cake the day before your event but we do offer free delivery within a 5 mile radius of Whitby and will happily set-up your cake at your venue for you, we know that, especially on your wedding day, you have far more things to do than to worry about your cake, so just leave it to us. Cake stands are available for hire too.
We can also supply sponges cakes, tray bakes, caramel shortbread and scones for parties and also to the restaurant and café trade. All our cakes are competitively priced with each celebration cake being individually priced and we will happily give you a quotation.
